# Smart Contracts

At the heart of CommerXe are smart contracts, which automate various operations. These self-executing contracts have terms directly embedded in code, facilitating, verifying, and enforcing transactions. In CommerXe, smart contracts are utilized for sales transactions, subscription management, rewards distribution, and all interactions involving the CXE token, ensuring a seamless and trustworthy transaction process.
